FESTIVAL CONTINUES TO SHARE THE HERITAGE
Provincetown Portuguese Festival Celebration 2027
June 25th - June 27th, 2027
Our sincere thanks to all who celebrated the 30th Annual Portuguese Festival and the
79th Blessing of the Fleet in Provincetown in 2026.
It’s a tradition rooted in community and celebration, with a full schedule of events that
offers something for everyone. All weekend we honor Provincetown’s proud
Portuguese heritage and fishing history, leading up to the Fishermen’s Mass and
Blessing of the Fleet on Sunday.
In 2027 the 31st annual Portuguese Festival honors the 80th Blessing of the Fleet. It’s a
special milestone that we’ll celebrate with music, dancing, and incredible food that
makes the Festival a longtime favorite—along with some new experiences.
The festivities begin with the Meet The Artist event where we’ll meet the 2027 Festival
Painting Artist a cash bar, a raffle, and live music.
The official artwork of the Festival and is featured on the 2027 Festival T-shirts.As
always they’ll be available at Seamen’s Bank and other locations to be announced.Festival Weekend officially begins
with the Portuguese Flag Raising Ceremony at the Pilgrim Monument and Museum. Plus there’s so much to do
Festival Weekend! From Homecoming Under The Tent on Friday night to live music and dancing all
weekend long on the Seamen’s Bank Main Stage in Portuguese Square. Festival
favorites will return, including the Lion’s Club Food Tent and the Knights of Columbus
Soup Tasting. Don’t miss Tasca on Sunday during the Blessing!
Kids won’t want to miss the Fishing Derby at MacMillan Pier, and families can enjoy
Field Games & Cookout at the Veteran’s Memorial Community Center. In Portuguese
Square on Ryder Street, visitors can shop the Artisan Crafts Fair or enjoy stories,
demonstrations, and presentations from local fishermen and other community members.
Be sure to check out the Prose & Poetry Reading in the Cabaret Room at the Crown &
Anchor, the Fado Concert at Town Hall, and the lively Samba drummers and dancers
performing in Portuguese Square.
The weekend concludes with one of Provincetown’s most meaningful traditions: the
Fishermen’s Mass at St. Peter’s Church, followed by the 80th Blessing of the Fleet
at MacMillan Pier.
Finally, a huge thank-you to our volunteers, the Provincetown community, and every
visitor who helps make Festival Weekend such a special tradition.
We’ll continue sharing updates as Festival Weekend gets closer.
